I'm sure the food may have been good on opening day, but me and my boyfriend went there two days ago trying to have a nice day out and wanted to try this restaurant. It was by far the worst food I've ever tasted, I couldn't finish it. The rice and beans had no flavor and were bland. The chicken tasted like it was from a can, also with no seasoning or taste. It seemed like all they did was warm it up in the microwave, barely. I had also asked for a side of guacamole thinking surely to god that'll be good, you can't mess that up.....no, the guacamole had a sour taste like it was spoiled and had been sitting in their fridge, it was bad enough I had to spit it out in my napkin. That's the point where we were fed up and left. This is not authentic, this is flat out gross. They made absolutely no effort, keep in mind they weren't busy, we were the only ones there. I know it's unheard of for Mexican food places in the rusk area, but it's worth the drive to just go to Jacksonville and find a place versus this. We are the most easy going, friendly people and the service we received here was outrageous. I am also pregnant and should not of been served food that could potentially of been expired and that's exactly why I did not finish my plate and neither did my boyfriend. I hope no one else experience this if they go to this restaurant, but WE will most definitely NOT be going back.
